Kind-hearted woman brings 18 disabled dogs to the beach for their first time ever

Dogs are considered one of the most innocent animal species. Even simple activities like walking or being greeted by their owners can bring them immense happiness. While most dogs enjoy spending time outdoors, some find it more difficult than others.

Canines with disabilities often struggle to move around on certain types of terrain that their able-bodied counterparts can effortlessly navigate. For instance, rocky landscapes, dense undergrowth, or areas close to water can pose challenges for dogs using wheelchairs. It’s a pity that dogs with disabilities may not be able to enjoy one of the most loved outdoor activities for canines, beach visits, which can be difficult due to miles of sand and water.

Canines feel a similar unexplainable happiness when they go to the beach, although their experience is about ten times stronger than humans.

Salima Kadaoui, the founder of SFT Animal Sanctuary in Tangiers, Morocco, made it her mission to give her 18 disabled dogs the same beach experience as their able-bodied counterparts. She takes in dogs that have permanent disabilities after being abandoned or hit by cars.

Salima is a person who doesn’t easily give up on her disabled dogs, knowing that they can still live their lives to the fullest if they adapt to their new way of living. On July 4, Salima took some of her dogs on a day trip to the beach, where she showed how effective rehabilitation can be. Despite only having functional front legs, the dogs were able to race with Salima from one end of the beach to the other.

The video of 18 dogs racing in wheelchairs along the beach is a delightful sight. The dogs, ranging from a small corgi to a large German shepherd, are seen running on the sand with the help of their wheelchairs.

This life-saving invention allows dogs with disabilities to run and play just like their non-disabled friends. The video is a heartwarming reminder that even dogs with disabilities can experience joy and playfulness. In one adorable moment, a corgi takes Salima’s shoe and playfully shakes it around before returning it to her.

Another video shows one of the cheeky dogs with a wheel from a friend’s wheelchair in its mouth, but it doesn’t stop them from racing down the beach at top speed. The dogs are clearly having a great time, and it’s amazing that Salima has given them the chance to live their lives to the fullest. It’s clear that these dogs have a positive outlook on life and don’t let their disabilities get in the way of having fun.

These dogs can teach us valuable life lessons. Despite their disabilities, they don’t feel sorry for themselves and appreciate what they already have without yearning for things they lack. This is a lesson that we humans can learn from them. We often compare ourselves to others and focus on what we don’t have instead of appreciating what we do.

Salima Kadaoui founded SFT Animal Sanctuary in Tangiers, Morocco, where she rescues and adopts abandoned animals with permanent disabilities. The sanctuary is home to nearly 600 animals, including dogs, cats, donkeys, and monkeys. Speaking to Story Trender about her rescue mission, Salima shared her passion for helping animals in need.
