Actress Kristen Bell Welcomes Home A Three-Legged Rescue Dog She Named Whiskey

Princess Anna of Arendelle has adopted a rescue dog named Whiskey! And for the first time in forever, he was able to find love and security inside a home he could call his own, thanks to Hollywood A-lister and Frozen actress Kristen Bell. The 40-year-old recently announced the happy news through Instagram, where she proudly showed off the latest addition to their pack and explained the predicaments that led to his three-legged condition.

Bell said that before Whiskey was rescued, he managed to ‘get in a fight’ with a truck that made him lose his leg. In her caption, she asked who needs four legs anyway, in an attempt to put humor and lighten his situation. She proceeded to share that she and her husband Dax Shepard and their two daughters Lincoln and Delta are getting along well with the latest addition to their little family.

She also said that Whiskey and his other brother named Frank love sharing her lap. She lovingly shared that her daughters adore him, and his fur-dad tolerates him to a tee. The actress ended her caption with a stern but playful warning that there will be no more truck stops for Whiskey as she welcomes him home.

Bell proceeds to share a series of pictures of the little tyke, where fans can see him cuddling with her in bed together with their other pet, Frank. The Hollywood star frequently posts photos of Frank, and she has formerly fostered several dogs. She includes other snaps of Whiskey while he stands on three legs, as well as another one with him sitting on somebody else’s lap.

Plenty of Bell’s famous Tinsel-town friends commented on her post to appreciate their family’s latest addition. Zooey Deschanel complimented his cuteness, while D’Arcy Carden gushed and said he gave a trisket/biscuit/Tiffany vibe. Pretty Little Liars alumna Lucy Hale joined the bandwagon and said she ‘loved’ Whiskey, while Yvette Nicole Brown commented on his ‘pure perfection.’

Whiskey’s arrival in their lives couldn’t have come at a better time, as Bell and Shepard’s family dog named Barbara passed on five months ago. They bid her farewell last October when she fell ill due to an intestinal infection. In a series of Instagram stories, Bell narrated that Barbara got sick one weekend and was diagnosed with Giardia. She shared that it appeared like she was going to pull through for a while, but unfortunately, she has fallen septic which made her body fail.

She posted an emotional selfie as they made their way to say goodbye to her. And regardless of what happened to Barbara, Bell said that she is trying to remain grateful for the two years where they could spoil her like the Queen she truly is. She also took that time to thank The Dog Café in Los Angeles, who was instrumental in bringing Barbara into their lives.

The Veronica Mars star is a known animal lover who has adopted several dogs throughout the years. In 2017, she opened up about her furry companions and said that she was never a bad mom to them even though she had been a lazy pet mom. She added that she had treated all of her dogs like her own, whom she considers as children she didn’t give birth to.

All hail to the Princess of Arendelle for this very noble act!
