STAR, A STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER WHO IS NOW FOUR YEARS OLD, IS HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME FINDING A HOME WHERE SHE WOULD BE LOVED.
Star is only young, but she is eligible for the RSPCA’s Elderly Animal Rehoming Scheme due to prior medical difficulties. This particular scheme has a number of different benefits for adopters in the Halifax, Huddersfield, and Bradford areas, including free initial vet care, a behavior support service, and ongoing support from the RSPCA.
Star is a very friendly and playful dog who loves to play games with anyone who has a few minutes to spare. He is very intelligent and will need plenty of mental stimulation at his new home in order to stay happy and healthy.
Star is a clever, affectionate dog who would like a home where someone is around most of the day to keep him company, according to the team at RSPCA’s Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford, and District Animal Centre. They say he is a great companion dog who loves human interaction and being made a fuss of. He would make a wonderful addition to an active family home.
The staff at the shelter say that Star would benefit from living in a home where he is the only pet so that he can have all of the attention and cuddles to himself. They also say that he would be best suited to living with secondary school children and above, as opposed to small children who may not understand how to properly treat him.
It is important to note that he should not be exercised off the lead and could benefit from continuing his training in his new home. The RSPCA team can share further advice on this, as well as how to socialize with other dogs.
