The Outer Banks S.P.C.A. (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt corporation which staffs and manages the Dare County Animal Shelter. The Outer Banks S.P.C.A. provides a loving environment and temporary housing for lost, stray, or unwanted domestic animals in Dare County.
