The disappearance of a three-year-old boy with autism from his home in Florida was a distressing experience for his parents.

On June 3, 2020, Marshal Butler went missing, triggering an intense police hunt. The family found some solace when they discovered that the child was last seen accompanied by his two pet dogs, Buckwheat and Nala, and wearing only a diaper.

After many hours of searching, Marshal was found unharmed with his family dogs who remained by his side.

The Walton County Sheriff’s office posted on Facebook, asking people to be on the lookout for him.

They added that Marshal was last seen wearing only a diaper and that a K9 unit was called in to aid the search.

The family of Marshal, who has autism, was very worried as they knew that he would not be able to communicate with anyone he met.

Marshal’s aunt, Kayla Stewart, said that the family was terrified when they found out that the toddler had gone missing.

After hours of searching, Marshal was found with his two family dogs close to a nearby river, about a mile from his house. The toddler was covered in dirt but unharmed, and his family was grateful for the dogs that stayed with him.

One neighbor, Carol Shelton, said that the dogs seemed to have guided him along and kept him safe. Marshal’s family was relieved to have him back, and they were grateful to the dogs and the authorities who helped in the search.

The family of Marshal expressed their happiness at the safe return of their son and also appreciated their two dogs who stayed with him and kept him safe. Marshal’s mother said that the dogs were just doing their job.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office used Facebook to inform the family that Marshal had been found unharmed.
